Cultivating Peace, Love, and Hope in Haiti
Ti Souf Foundation is more than just a non-profit, it’s a beacon of hope for a brighter future in Haiti. We nurture seeds of peace, love, and resilience through impactful programs and initiatives that empower communities and cultivate sustainable change. Here’s a glimpse into some of our ongoing projects:
Ti Souf, in partnership with Fondation Devoir de mémoire, APEP (private schools association), Fondation IDEO (FOI) and Fondation Ralph Auguste have been providing training for teachers since August 2023. The goal of this entirely unprecedented initiative is to involve a group of up to 30 schools (about 300 teachers) from Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haitien, Jacmel, Cayes, Jérémie, and Camp-Perrin in the Culture of Peace to spread love as the supreme value in Haiti. This training will be long-term and will enable teachers to learn and practice new concepts to bring about a profound and lasting change in their mindset and attitude, thus making them better teachers but also better husbands/wives, parents, citizens.
The Ti Souf Foundation is committed to making significant improvements to the lives of current students at the school Saint Louis de Gonzague, alma mater of board members Lionel Benjamin and Jean-Paul Duret. Currently, this crucial need within the school has been identified: access to a reliable and safe source of drinking water for all students.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to establish a sustainable drinking water system that will benefit the entire educational community. This initiative will not only contribute to the health of the students but will also have a positive impact on their overall well-being and academic performance.
The purpose of this initiative is to work in-depth to strengthen the knowledge and skills of 40 young individuals who have already benefited from peace education, enabling them to become Peace Agents in turn. This will empower them to spread this culture to other neighborhoods. Trained in emotional and spiritual intelligence, these young people will learn through leadership and entrepreneurship training how to develop their material independence, earn a living with dignity, and uphold essential values for true success in life.
Haitian psychologists have developed a creole-language platform filled with resources on healthy parenting practices. This empowers families to raise confident, emotionally healthy children, breaking cycles of trauma and building stronger communities.
Child maltreatment has no place in a loving world. We’re raising awareness and combatting this issue through the « Simen Lanmou, Rekòlte Lapè » campaign. Together, we can break the silence and build a Haiti where every child feels safe and cherished.
These workshops blend physical activity with cultural education around “green gym” installations. Children learn about their bodies, their environment, and the power of peace and love in a fun and engaging way.
Bringing joy to children is essential, especially during the festive season. Our annual toy drive ensures that underprivileged children in Haiti experience the magic of Christmas.
